Q) Do you run table tennis coaching for juniors?

A) Yes, we have 2 qualified coaches at the club. Junior sessions run on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. See the Table Tennis Coaching section of the website for full details.

 

Q) Do you run table tennis coaching for adults?

A) We don’t specifically have adult coaching, but we do set aside some time on a Friday evening to help adult members develop their game.

 

Q) Do you have social table tennis or is it all competitive matchplay?

A) Both! For those of a competitive nature we have over 10 teams playing matches in the local Aldershot & Guildford leagues on Mon - Thurs evenings. For those preferring to have a more social knock, tables are available for booking during the day, or come down and join us on a Friday evening club night.

 

Q) Can I just turn up and pay to play table tennis?

A) Unfortunately not, you have to be a member of the club to be able to book a table, for details of how to join the club please see the membership section.

 

Q) How much does it cost to become a member of the table tennis club?

A) For the 2021/22 season adult membership cost £42, and junior membership £21, please see the membership section for full details.

 

Q) What are the playing conditions like? How many tables have you got?

A) We have a purpose built hall for playing table tennis. In match conditions we have room for 2 tables, and when set up for coaching we can have up to 5 tables.

 

Q) What facilities have you got?

A) In addition to the table tennis hall we have a social area with seating and a pool table, a kitchen area, a shower room and 2 WCs (one accessible).

 

Q) How do I find the club?

A) We’re located at Farnborough Tennis Club, Tile Barn Close, Farnborough, Hampshire. GU14 8LS

 

Q) Do you have parking on site?

A) There’s room for around 10 cars to park at the club house, with plenty more space in the rugby club car park next door.
