Enjoy playing tennis?
Playing tennis is a great opportunity to socialise, exercise and to meet some new friends. It’s a great way to enjoy an exciting sport and build on your fitness while having fun!
Mix-in club sessions for all adult members are held on Tuesdays and Friday evenings, as well as Wednesday and Sunday mornings, and a ladies afternoon session on Mondays. These are very informal and work on a rota system with players swapping on and off the courts at the end of 8 games, to keep everyone involved. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and chat with other members.
We always look forward to having new members of the club!
Competitions and Matches
Throughout the year, we run various tournaments, competitions and events that are open to all members. The club also enters several teams in competitions within the Aldershot and District Leagues for both the Summer and Winter seasons.
Beginners or Returning Players
We run special sessions with GDTennis Coaching on Thursday evenings for beginners and those returning to the game. The cost is £7.50 (Contact the Head Coach to put your name on the list). After initial coaching sessions, beginners and returners are invited to take up membership status which offers players further coaching opportunities and additional access to courts.
Junior coaching for children aged 5-16 takes place throughout the year. The club organises junior tournaments for all ages and abilities, and for the older juniors, there is the opportunity of representing the Club, by playing matches in the Aldershot and District Leagues.
We have a professional coaching team, called GDTennis, that undertakes all the coaching at the club, and the coaches are always available to offer advice and help to players of all standards, that wish to improve their game.
For more information view the Coaching Page.
You are most welcome to come to one of the club night sessions, on a Tuesday or Friday at 6.30pm, or alternatively you could come down during a Sunday morning session at 10:00am. You are welcome to attend 3 club sessions before deciding whether you would like to join the club.
