The club was started in 1965 by a group of people, local to the area, who wanted to be part of a friendly tennis club.
The council provided these people with land and some money and they gave up their time to begin building. Initially, the club was very basic with only a very small clubhouse. However, over the years, with the continued support of it's members, the club has become what it is today.
Ray Eason is in charge of the club and it's premesis. He can be contacted via the following telephone number (01252) 547093
