Farnborough Lawn Tennis Club is a genuinely friendly, family oriented club with players of all ages involved in all areas of the club's activities. It has been in existence since 1965 and some of the founder members are still playing and very active in the club!
Just starting or returning to tennis? We run special sessions from time to time for beginners and those returning to the game. Sometimes these are on a weekday evening for ladies only. Contact the Chairman or Membership Secretary to put your name on the list.
David Hewitt is our chairman. He can be contacted via email.
Paul Shakespeare is our membership secretary and would be delighted to hear from you by email or phone 07977577178
This is Phil Scott who can be contacted by email or by phone on (01252) 546873
Club sessions are held on Monday and Friday evenings and Wednesday mornings for all adult members. These are very informal and work on a rota system with players swapping on and off the courts at the end of each set to keep everyone involved. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and chat with other members and improve your game with a variety of partners.
There are a wide range of tennis activities open to all members such as club nights, winter and summer club tournaments and coaching. In addition, social events such as barbeques, skittles evenings, theatre trips, etc. are held on a regular basis. If you enjoy more competitive tennis we also have numerous teams for a range of abilities (mens, ladies, juniors and mixed) in both the winter and summer local leagues. We also have a club coach available for players, both old and young, wishing to improve their game.
